How regular eating changed my life?

My name is Mia. I am the founder of Health Revolution Ltd and the creator of the My Plate Coach app. The My Plate Coach app had a critical role in my life, guiding me in finding balance in my eating. The experience was far better than any other “diet” I’ve tried in the past. And I can tell you, I’ve been on diets! You know how typical women are: always more or less unsatisfied with themselves, stomach is too big, I should lose weight, and I need more energy. Maybe you have had these feelings too? I am here to tell you how regular eating will solve your problems.

The need for change

After having my daughter in 2012, I was really stuck with overweight (now, looking back, that was the first time ever that I really had overweight). Suddenly, I had more than 30 lbs of body mass than before. Didn’t feel at home in my body. The worst part was that there were no signs that the weight would start to drop.

Learning about the role of regular eating

I didn’t have the energy to go on a strict crash diet, start buying strange superfoods, or make smoothies. I needed to figure out another way—something that would suit a normal (and hectic) family life with normal food on the table.

I learned that the core reason for being overweight is an irregular eating rhythm, which leads to overeating and oversized portions. After knowing this, I started to pay more attention to my eating habits. I started to change my ways slowly according to the Balanced Plate Diet Philosophy. At first, I felt a change in my metabolism. The second improvement was that I could get rid of my maternity clothes.

It took me about a year and a half to get back to my normal weight. On my way back to the “old me”, I found regular eating patterns and learned to understand the 80/20 diet principle. I didn’t need to give up my black candies (my all-time favorite), pizza, and other unhealthy snacks every now and then. The biggest change was that I started eating 5-6 times a day and paid more attention to the quality of the food and my “plate design”.

Give up the dieting mentality

The My Plate Coach app is here to help you have the same aha moments about finding balance as I did. My realization was so big that I hope everyone learns these basics. Healthy eating is super easy and simple once you get the basics. I believe anyone can do it.

The best part is that you don’t have to diet to feel better about yourself. On the contrary, you have to give up the dieting mentality! Only then can you better about yourself and find permanent balance.
