Pamper your heart

Be a friend to yourself. Three foods that are good for your heart:

1. Walnut
Walnuts are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids. They decrease LDL-cholesterol and risk of excessive clotting. You can add walnuts for example to your yoghurt or have a small amount of them as such.

2. Blueberry
Blueberries are also called as superfoods because they are packed with antioxidants. Antioxidants lower the risk of heart disease. Blueberries are perfect in a smoothie or with quark.

3. Oat
Oat contains a specific type of fiber known as beta-glucan. This soluble fiber can slow the absorption of cholesterol and decrease LDL-cholesterol. An oatmeal is a good way to start you day.

Combine all these and have a healthy breakfast: oatmeal with chopped walnuts and blueberries!
